MOTOR-CYCLING.
The Wellington yptorrcycle Club continued the competitions lor the Sutherland and Eankine Cup on Saturday afternoon. The event was a speed trial held on Matai Koad, Miramar, The weather conditions considerably affected the attendance of the public, who have of late been taking a keen interest in theseevents. The number of startera was also less than had been expected; but as it was 18 entries were received. The trial was. run oft in heats of three, first and second competing again. In , the semifinals and final four riders competed, the deciding round bringing about a very close finish, only ten yards separating the first and fourth men. The results were ns follow:—B. S.
