Dalgety and Company, Limited, report:—We held our fortnightly sale yesterday afternoon, when we offered, in addition to a few oddments of wool, the usual quantities of skins, hides, and tallow. Coinpetition, except for-tlia best descriptions, woe somewhat dull, but prices were firm at th<s rates ruling at the last sale. Wool: Crossbred, Bsd. to 93d.; crossbred, dead, BJd. to 9d.; lambs. 83d. to 9d.; crutchings, 5Jd. to 7d.; pieces, 4id. to 6id.; locks, 43d. to sd. Messrs. Levin and Company, Ltd., report:—'Wo offered 2500 sheepskins, 400 hidee and catfskine, and a quantity of tallow and horsehair. Bale wool is being kept for tho first ealo on December 6. Wool: Only hag wool offering, wliich sold at last quotations. Skins 6howed a marked advance on all grades. Halfbrcds and, fine crossbreds, Bjd. to 83d.; medium and coarse crossbreds, Bid. to Bid.; quarter to lialfwools, 53d. to 7id.; dead skins, sd. to 7d.; lamb skins, 6d. to 7id.; green skins, 63. 9d. to 9s. 7d.; green pelts, 2s. 4d.; salted laimbs, 2ff. 3d. Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co., LtS., report:—We offered a catalogue of 6000 sheepskins and eomo 9CO hides and calf, besides oddments of bag wool and tallow. Prices for wool and sheepskins were exceedingly firm, at la-st sale's rates, showing a tendency to harden. Hides were in keen demand at prices ranging from threeeighths of a penny to one halfpenny above last sale. Cow hides especially, in good condition, being in strong request. The attendance of buyers was up to the average, and bidding was brisk at late rates, except for hides, and for these exceptionally high prices were obtained; prices being about Jd. to 3d. above last sale's rates. Messrs. James Macintosh and Co. report having held their fortnightly sale of wool, and sheepskins yesterday. There was a good attendance of buyers, and competition was very keen throughout tho" sale.
