The death has occurred at Redding, California, of a man named John Broadhurst, who lived for two months without a stomach, and -never know it was missing. Broadlmrst, who was an enginedriver, was taken to' the hospital suffering from a malignant growth. Through ail. operation his stomach was removed, and, not to• discourage the patient, the surgeons did not inform him of the nature of the operation. The claim put forward on behalf of the Rev. F. J. Everett, of Bristol, that ho was the .first fireman parson in England, is disputed by the ■ parliisnjis of the Rev. W. E. Gray, vioar of Hungorford, who Is now "lieutenant" after three years' 6orsrloa 1b the local hrkado. -
