The amount realised for the 83C9 bales offered was about £107.900, compared with £62,000 last yeai. Competition was keen right to the ond of the sale, and farmers are well satisiled. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following cable advice from its London office, dated November 26:—"The sales have opened with strong competition and a large attendance of buyers. There is. a* good demand for all kinds of wool. Tot.il net quantity of New Zealand wool available is 20,000. bales. The market is strong for coarse crossbred, or Bliped wools, and all kinds of merino, prices for each being 5 to 7s per cent, .higher.". • Messrs. Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd., hare received the following cablegram, dated November 26, from their London friends.: Messrs. Sanderson, Murray and Co.:—"Wool sales have opened Btrong. Tory largo attendance of buyers j competition brisk. Market advanced 5 to 7J per cent., merino showing greatest advance." The United Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd.,- have received the following cablegram from their London agents, der date November 26:—"The fifth series of wool sales opened to-day. and were largely atteitjed by Home, Continental and American buyers. Therq was considerable competition. Fine, medium, and coarse crossbTeds advanced 6 to U per cent., a.s compared with closing rates of previous fale."
