THE TERAWHITI ESTATE.

AN IMPORTANT LAND SALE. An important land sale was effected at the Chamber of Commerce yesterday morning by Messrs. Levin and Co., Ltd. The land comprised G595 acres, known as the Teravhiti Estate, and for many years used as a sheep and eattlo station by the late Mr. James M'Mcnamon. The sale included the stock, which comprised 6000 sheep and 2240 lambs, and 34 head of cattle. There was an attendance of between 40 and SO people, and the bidding was brisk.
