THE WEATHER.
SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications are for cloudy and unsettled weather, with rain in many parts of the country, especially about Cook Strait. Strong northerly winds, veering by west to southerly, northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and variable winds, with southerlies predominating elsewhere. The barometer will probably fall slightly in the north, but is duo to rise everywhere soon, and cooler, finer woathor follow. The barometer has risen in the south and fallen slightly in the north. Considerable rain has fallen, and cloudy and unsettled weather has been experienced generally. To-day has been fine. Mastorton, November'26«'t-Cool and cloudy, light showers falling at intervals.
