People interested in pictures should endeavour to visit the exhibition of work by Messrs. Nugent, Welch, and Roland Waklin, now open at Butler's Gallery. Visitors should particularly note Mr. Welch's "A Grey Day at Silverstream," a pastoral subject fresh in colour, the "Towers," notable for its delicate grey tones, and "Makara Stream, Near the Beach," a fine, bold landscape; and Mr. Waklin's landscape, "A Trentham Pastoral," a good figure study, ' Ihe Old Musician," and tho brilliant landscape "There is a Willow." An art union is being held in connection with the exhibilantern slides of beauty spots of the Dominion will be taken away by the Rev. Henry Howard on his return to \delaide.
