"Tyhen'the question of setting up the committee was': .being considered in the House of Commons, x Mr. Bonar Law, Leader of the Opposition, refused to serve on the committee. • . • He Opposition urged that the Court was the proper tribunal.. •; ' lord Balcarres (Unionist) contended thit the .law required revision. It was possible for a member of the House of Commons, to ' supply , the Government, while holding the bulk of the shares in . accompany, though a'small partnership interest, debarred him from contracting.
