Fined ■ Here is a typical item that has been going the rounds of the newspapers— Waiiganui, Monday, 6/8/12. At the Magistrate's Court this morning, four orchardists, charged with failure to . spray, their fruit trees, were fiued £2 and costs. Spraying is compulsory for the one tree man just as much as forthe large grower, and such fines are necessary if we are to be saved from pests. But these men who were fined still merit a certain sympathy. All had sprayed more or less. One had sprayed three times just before he was fined. You see, he had not used the right spray.
