SIR WILLIAM OWEN. Br Teleerash—Frees Association—Oonyriehit Sydney, November 23. Sir William Owen, ex-Supreme Court Judge, i 6 dead. *

Sir William Owen was puisne Judge of ■the Supreme Court in New South Wales from October, 1887, until February, 1308. He was born 'in November, 1834, being the son of the late Colonel Owen, of the 72nd Highlanders. He was educated at the Cheltenham College, and Trinity College, Dublin, and was a prizeman and medallist. He was called to the Bar in 1859, and was appointed Chief Judge in Equity of New South Wales in 1887, Ho was created a Knight Bachelor in June, 1906.
