Sydney, November 23. In the Legislative Assembly, during disonssion on the Pnblio Works Estimates, Mr. Griffith's (Minister for Public Works) administration was severely criticised.
Mr. Henley claimed that chaos reigned from top to' bottom of the Department. He deliberately charged maladministration, and said the very dogs had been barking "Maladministration" during the last twelve months. If tlio Minister refused to accept his challenge to make the scope .of the inquiry wide enough to cover three; charges, ho would be not only the biggest .maladministrator, but the biggest bounder in the State. Another member declared that the Fat Man would in future be associated with the Labour party. ■ Mr.-Griffith' made a heated defence. He characterised the story alleging that he had invested forty thousand pounds in England, where he was going to live, when he retired from politics, as the blackest lie. He was a poorer man to-day than when he took : office.
Mr. Levien retorted: "You are a bigger fool than I took you-for." .
