November 22, 9.80 p.m.) Perth, November 22. Advices from London dated October 25' state that a bank draft for .£40,000 was found on board the Great Western Railway tender at Plymouth. The draft was payable at sight to Charles Hareourt at Sydney, and was issued in London in August by the ißank of New South Wales. It was found after the tender had been used to land American passengers from the White Star liner Ooeanio. There was no passenger named Harcourt carried, and no loss was reported. STORY DISCREDITED. (Reo. November 22/9.30 p.m.) Sydney, November 22, The officials of the Bank of New South Wales are of opinion that the story of the finding of the draft for .£40,000 is a hoax. No draft for that amount had been issued to anybody named Haroourt, and it was -unlikely that such a draft would lie unclaimed.
