Mr. Bartlett had previously bequeathed to Liverpool .£123,000, including .£7500 for a new Cathedral, .£40,000 for. a Merchants' Guild, .£40,000 for charities, ,£20,000 for the University, and .£IO,OOO for the Walker Gallery.
