CITY FIRES.
!PWO OUTBREAKS YESTERDAY. At 8.5 p.m. yesterday the City Fire Brigade was called to quell an outbreak of fire in a houso at 100 Webb Street, occupied by Mr. E. J. Follett, and owned by Mr. Biggs, of 5 Evelyn Place. The 'to; had been caused by the dropping of asinajl kerosene stove while it .was being moved. : ;.,Tlie ' building and the contents were'badly' damaged.. At 9.50 p.m. an incipient fire wa9 dist\ covered in a'brick building at 76-78 J ervois Quay, 'occupied: by 'Messrs. Morris and Co., J. Keir; and Conlin and Co, 1 lie ' fire originated in a Toom .in Messrs. Morris and Co.'s building, which was nsed-as a repository for tailors' cuttings and other rubbish. The building in the vicinity of this room^-'was-somewhat damaged, and ' ; .Messrs, Morris and Co.'s property in that : scction -of the building was damagod by heat and smoke; The property of Messrs.
