The Hon. James Allen arrived in Wellington last nifjht, and the Hon. E. H. Rhodes will arrive here to-day. Tho Hon. A. L. Herdman and the Hon.. H. D. Bell are still in Wellington. The Prime Minister (the Hon. W. P. Massey), and the Hon. Dr. Pomare are at Auckland; the HoriTß. i ;'Ksher'!and'''"t)re'' , Hon. W. Fraser are at Dunedin; and the Hon. W. H. Hemes is at Te Aroha. Mr. James Henderson, of Dunsandel, who was injured in a motor-car accident on Wednesday last, when returning from the Banks Peninsula show at Little River, died at the hospital last night (Friday). The deceased was a prominent farmer,, vice-president of the Canterbury A. and P. Association, and a member of'tho County Hospital Boai>d.—Press Association. Major Campbell Johnston, who has been visiting New Zealand, ■ left by the Maunganui for Sydney yesterday. Mr. Austin Wilson, special trado commissioner, for the port of Hull, who is touring Australasia with the object of opening up direct trade between the Commonwealth, New Zealand, and Hull, is now in Wellington, and will address the members of "the Chamber of Commerce on Monday at 3 p.m. Mr. Wilson has had a very successful tour in tho Commonwealth, and the various State Governments are quite in favour of his mission. Mt. Evelyn Wrench, the London organiser of the Overseas Club, who was to have arrived in Wellington next week, has telegraphed from Auckland to Captain Barclay (the Wellington secretary) that he has been obliged to alter his plans in order that he may meet Lord Islington. He adds that ho will communicate definitely his movements very shortly. Tho Rev. Henry Howard, minister in charge-of the Adelaide Central Mission, will preach both morning and evening on Sunday in Taranaki Street Methodist Church. ; In tho afternoon, he will address the Pleasant Sunday Afternoon gathering under the auspices of the .Brotherhood .in the New Theatre. On Monday evening he will deliver his famous recital "People I Have Met," in the Wesley Hall, Taranaki Street. Mr. Howard has a high reputation in Australia as a popular preacher. For ten years he ha 6 filled tho big Pine Street Church in Adelaide every Sunday night, • and during the winter months of tho last few years the Sunday evening service of the church has been followed by a crowded evangelistio service in the Town Hall. When Dr. Chapman's. voice failed him during tho big Adelaide mission in tho Exhibition Building, Mr. Howard stopped in to fill the breach, with no diminution whatever .'in the crowds that attended.
