SCHOOL MEDICAL INSPECTION.
DEPUTATION TO HON. JAMES ALLEN. (By Telesraph.—Press Association.) Wanganui, November 21. The Hon. James Allen visited Wanganui to-day, and was entertained by the-.Educa-tion Board in the afternoon, after which a deputation waited on him in regard to the medical inspection of school children. It was pointed out that it was absolutely impossible for working people to havo Dr. Gunn's recommendations carried out, and a suggestion was made that the Government should establish a State dentistry and medical- service. If that was not done, it would bo absolute waste money in appointing medical inspectors. Mr. Allen said that the Government realised the position, but pointed out that the cost of _ providing free medical with dental. service would be enormous. Dr. Gunn had boen appointed in order that the Government might ascertain tho true state of affairs. Tho whole question would have to te gone into.
