OTAKI NOTES.
The following candidates have been nominated to fill seven seats on tho newly-constituted Town Board-.-Messrs. Byron Brown, T. 11. Bright Harold ■Cockrcll, i). J. Or. D'Ath, David Judo, John Meads, Jostmh Noble, James Mackay, William M'Kegg, A. W. Skerman, and Fred. C. Jones. The election, which will causa much interest, takes place on November - 27. Mr. 11. Freenia,u a few days ago received an injury to his eye, owing to a splinter from n chisel striking it. He secured medical advice locally, and was immediately OTdered to an eye specialist in Wellington. A direct mail, service has now been established between Oteki and Te Horc, Waikanae and Parnparaumu.
