A PUBLIC MEETING to bid farewell to Their Excellencies will he held m the TOWN HALL THIS (THURSDAY). EVENING, the 21st inst., at 8 o'clock. His Worship the Mayor (Mr. ;D. M'Larcn) will preside. The Programme will consist of brief speeches bv His "Worship the Mayor, the Hon. H. I). Bell, JC.C. (ex-Mayor); Mr. Thomas •'.«. Wilfurd, M.P. (exMayor),.'the Chairman of the Wellington Harbour Hoard (Councillor Robert Fletcher), and' the Chairman of the Hospital Board (Councillor James Trevor), and of musical items by the City Organist (Mr. Mnughan Barnott), the Eoyal Wellington Choral Society, of 270 voices, the Orpheus Quartet, Mr. John Prouse, and Miss Denhard. As tho Meeting is a public one, NO TICKETS OF ADMISSION are being issued, but notifications have been forwarded to Local Bodies,. Friendly Societies, representative 1 Institutions generally, and others in the City; inviting them to be .present. . . ' A portion of the Galleries near tho Platform will be reserved for Individual Representatives. . ■■ ■- Friendly Society Members, if.in regalia, will be seated iii reserved seats in front of the Platform, the Veterans occupying the froiit row.
