DYNAMITE SCARE.
MANIAC EMPTIES THE POLICE STATION. By.lTelegraph—Press Association-Copyright (Eec. November 20, 8.55 p.m.)New York, November 19. Great excitement was caussd in Los Angeles by a madman bearing dynamite sufficient to destroy a hundred buildings. The man held the police station for an hcur, while hundreds of police and the occupants of adjoining houses dashed for safety. Detective Hosick finally struck the maniac .unoonsoious. He then found a number of hidden bombs, which wero about to explode, and dashed into the street with them and stamped out tho fuses. The spectators were paralysed with fright at the detective's action.
