Senate prior • to 1 accepting judicial office. Born at Sydney in. 1851, lie was a distinguished graduate of Sydney University (it.A. 1873). Ho was called to the -New South Wales Bar in 1870, and in ISM was; appointed a Q.C. For . thirteen years ho was a member of the: Legislative .Conn.-., oil, and somo time. Minister for Justice.
