SECOND ANNUAL REPORT. The second annual report of the Marton. Weddcl and Co., Ltd., with very satisfactory re : suits, "Marton" cheese topping tho market on two occasions. • "The result for the year's working shows, a profit of £69 4,5. 6d., which with the balance carried forward from last year, .£69 13s. Gd., makes a total of .£l3B 18s. Prom this it was decided:-1 o write off the balance of preliminary oxpeises; ,£BO, and your directors recommend that j.the balance be disposed of in the following manner:—That the manager and secretary receive bonuses of .£7 and M respectively, and the balance be paid to tho shareholders, as a bonus, in proportion to the butter-fat supplied by them. "The following table shows tho working of the company:—No. of suppliers, 1G; milk received, 906,2241b.; average test, '4.0-1; lbs. butter-fat, 36,696.178; cheese; made, 97,0801b.; cheese exported, 31 tons 12 cwt. 1 qr. 3 lb.; cheese destroyed in fire, about 90001b.; quantity of milk to make lib. cheese, 9.29; lbs. of butter-fat to one of cheese, 2.10. There was paid for milk .£2095 12s. lOd.; wages totalled .£203 7s. 6d.; interest accounted for .£6l Ids., and iusuranco for ,£2O 19s. 9d. The mortgage account was reduced from .£750 to w£6oo.
