Sir, —It I*B usually Liken for granted that tlio'Postal Department of this progressive Dominion is desirous of encouraging the inerenso of our correspondence, and by so doing advancing the interests of our pcoplo in every way. A Isirgo volume means increasing trado and commerce, scientiiic, and . educational facilities to an immeasurable extent, ami thorefore tlio postal administration is in a position of much responsibility. Tho reason tfiven for inability to supply has been becauso of short supply trom Wellington—a sliortago owing to some unoxplnimihlo reason.
