NAUGHTY CHILD. TRAGEDY OP UNHEEDED OKIES. As the result of a tragic misunder*tamlinir in circumstances of exfcraordinary pathos, a litlc girl has been burned to death near Dorking (England), without her erics i'or help bringing the aid which was at hand. Three days ago llr. and Mrs. Hazlett, with their • little daughter, Sybil Irene, a°cd four, removed from Ashteau to live at Koso Cottage, Micklcham. The child on October 2 was naughty, and vas ordered to be put to bed till dinner-time. She disobeyed again by dressing and coming downstairs, and was once more sent up" to the bedroom. ' Some time later screams wero heard. No notice was paid to them at l.rst, as it' was supposed that they were only an exhibition of temper on the little girls part. Tlio nurse soon afterwards went upstairs and. discovered that the bedroom was on lire. A rush was made to the bod, which was smouldering, and 011 it the child was found, so terribly burned that sho died two hours later. .. . , It is thought that the Utile i-irl h at * obtained n box of matches, and, piaying with them, had set her clothes on fire. The deepest sympathy is felt in Ihe ustrist fov be; parent*.
