THE BROTHERHOOD.
1 The' usual Sunday afternoon (fathering of the Brotherhood was well attended at the New Theatre yesterday,. Councillor 13. Tregear being in the ohair. Items by Master Moody, of Christchurch, and Mr. IC. Shorney were well received. The Rev, J. J. lewis, of Petone, delivered an address on "Socialism." He dealt exhaustively with the subject and explained tho various kinds of Socialism, revolutionary, evolutionary, and Christian, the last adding to "Evolutionary Socialism the teaching and example of Christ. Several questions were asked by members of tho audicnce at the conclusion of tho address. On Sunday next the Sisterhood Anniversary will bo celebrated. Tho speaker will be the Rev. Henry Howard, of Adelaide. one of- tho finest pulpit orators nv tho Southern Hemisphere.
