Peculiar circumstances surround the shooting of a man named Robert M'Gregor at East Prahran. 1 • Festivities were held at M'Gregor's house during the evening, and a guest was ejected. Tho ringing' of the front door bell at ah early hour in the morning interrupted the proceedings, . and M'Gregor answered the door. When he opened it a man standing on the footpath fired five shots from a revolver, two striking M'Gregor, who was removed to the hospital, where the doctors failed to extract the bullets, which entered the liver and stomach. M'Gregor has refused to give the name of his assailant. WOUNDED MAN DIES. (Rec. November 18, 0.20 a.m.) Melbourne, November-17. M'Gregor is 4ead. It is believed that his real name was M'Crindle. Nothing has been discovered regarding his assailant.
