In replying to a deputation, the Prime Minister made a statement with referenco to the Government's policy regarding finance. Mr. Mossey 'said as far as tho ■price of money was .concerned tho_ p.resent Government had conio. te a decision as to what policy should bo pursued itf'differentiation between loans, for development and non-development purposes. In tho latter .casfe the money would only bo advanced at the rata it cost the .Government, for it was only reasonable and fair that tho taxpayers sliould not bo burdened with any'such cost. In the case of loans intended for development purposes, however, a considerable reduction. Would bo made-. Much tho same system, would prevail as in the. ojd days of tHe Government loans 'to.
