The Governor arrived at Timaru from the south yesterday, .and was welcomed at the station by the Mayor and others, and was the guest of the Navy league at a dinner,.at which the Mayor and jft, J. Oraigie,'MJ„ Were present, and made complimentary speeches. In the evening his Excellency attended a short concert arranged by the Choral Society in tie Theatre Royal, and presented to about 70 school children the. prizes (book's) offered' by.the Navy League for essays on naval : subjects.—Press Association.
