Whilst other districts have been worried by .incessant-rains, this district has had -just''sufficient to stimulate growth. . Pastures;; are" luxuriant everywhere, while potatoes; and cereal crops are very forward. Oat crops are well into ear, and there is every indication of very substantial yields. There have been very heavy plantings of potatoes, in view'of the keen, demand during the past season.
