There were well over 1000 entries in the do" classes, and 'fanciers were well pleased with the animals benched. Williams, and Conder wero successful in the black cocker spaniel section, getting firsts m brood'bitches, open bitches, New Zealandbred bitches, besides several-.other, pjacings. Ghas. Eides secured the brace and the team prizes, and several seconds and thirds. ' Other successful breeders in this class were Thos. Harvio and J. Soler. A. Huwyler, S. C. Crisp, and J. Soler divided'the prizes in cocker spaniels, other than 'black,, and. Miss M'Hule and H. Tibbs' were the most:-successful in black field spaniels. , ■ ; ■ , , ,-,,.-'• 'There was very keen competition m the f0.% terrier closses. In'the smooth-coated i division, G. W. P.yerSmith,, Wellington, was first in limit, dogs, and J. Doherty, Wellington, second in the same' class, while U. Berriascoiii, Wellington, won the open bitch class..
