. ' ,'" TALISMAN MINE. RESULTS OP. ORtt'sHING., . \ ; (By Teleeraph.—Special-Correspondet,*., Karahgahake, November 7. The Talisman Company reports the broken period of October, which represents only twelve days' crushing, 1870 tons were crushed and treated for a yield of bullion valued at £18,668 4s. 6d. This -high return is attributable to making a, very close clean up of all bullion sources on account of the mill being closed down at tho time of the Huntily trouble. The costs for the period are naturally higher, owing to the small tonnage, and in addition advantage was taken to execute repairs in the mino and battery. The costs total 675., being made up as follow:—Mine development, 21s. 6d.; mining, 18s. 7d.j milling, 2?s: Bd.; general expenses, 4s. 3d. Since mining operations commenced, the work in most of the • faces is ■ pretty well manned, and crushing operations started this.-morning. The following cablegram has been received from-the London board:—"Declared quarterly dividend of Is.- 6d.. payable December 4. transfer books close ■ on November 16: Owing to the recent stoppage of operation,] at the mine, dim to the lack of fuel supplies caused through labour troubles in Uk Dominion,-tho board of directors decided, tc tempororily reduce dlrtaenw, ■ but hopetc revtrt to Is. 9d,-next quarter.,'!
