ODDFELLOWSHIP.
The üßuarfortnightly meeting of Loyal Heart of Oak Lodge,T.O.O.F., Manchester Unity, was held in the Foresters Hall, Carterton, on Wednesday evening, Bro. H. A. Bick, G.M. (acting-N.G.) presiding over a fair muster of members. The Wellington district officers, D.P.G.M. Bro. J. A. Boake, and Prov. C. S. 8r.6. G. E. Godber, paid their annual visit to the lodge and were, with visiting Bro. Waiter, of Loyal St. Anne's Lodge, England, welcomed in the usual way. The district "officers gave a very interesting address to tl» brothers assembled on matters appertaining to Oddfellowship generally and tho workings of tho Wellington district. They wore listened' to with close attention and accorded a,very hearty vote of thanks for their very, able addresses. •During the evening one new member was initiated, Bro. Godber reading the charge, and one candidate was proposed for initiation. -After the lodge the visitorswere entertained at supper, and a pleasant time was spent in toast, sang, and story, the- singing of "Auld Lang Syne" bringing the gathering to a close. Tho visitors left for Pahiatua yesterday, and Mastertbn on Friday night.
