MANUKA ARRIVES 2 P.M. > By wireless last evening the Union Company's' Manuka, advised that she was expected to arrive at Wellington from Sydney at 2 p.m. to-day. The vessel will berth at the Queen's Wharf No. 1 south.
MOANA'S EXPECTED ARRIVAL. : The Union Company's steamer Moana advised bv wireless' last evening that she would not arrive at "Wellington from ,San Francisco, via way ports, beforo Friday morning. The vessel .-was'exacted to ma,ko port to-morrow, but has evidently struck bad weather.',
BIRKENFELS DUE TO-DAY. . Th° UlB. and A. Line's chartered steamer Biirkenfels is diue at Wellington from Now York, via way' ports, cither to-night or early to-morrow morning. She will berth at the Queen's Wharf to discharge cargo before proceeding to Nelson.
ROTORUA DUE MONDAY. A wireless message received from the New Zealand Shipping Company's Rotorua stated that the liner, was expected to arrive at Hobart from London and _ Cape Town at noon to-dfiy. It was anticipated that the Rotorua would arrive at Wellington on Monday licit, lONIO. LEAVES OAPE TOWN. ' Cable advice received by the local uNents for the Shaw, Ravill and Albion Company: concerning tlio lonic was to the effect that the liner left Cape Town for Hohirrt and Wellington on Monday morning. The boys who are ill (raining on board the New Zealand fillip Amokura will 'rejoin the vessel' at Wellington to-day, after having bean on holiday leave. _ , The vessel has' been undergoing a (liorou"h overhaul, included in which was the (lilting of a new boat deck. This work is expected to he completed shortly, and it is anticipated that the vessel will leave for Cooit Strait about the beginning pf the week after next. This will give the new bovs a chance to gain their "sealogs" The Amokura will then return to port, before proceeding to the. outlying ■'southern'islands of New Zealand. Freight rates for tho East are very firm, whilst, fqr South American ports lower rates are accepted. The Arahura arrived at Westport from Greymouth at 6 a.m. yesterday, and left for Nelson, Picton and Wellington at 4 p.m. She should arrive hero about }0 p.m. to-day. The Union' Company's collier Kurow arrived at Wellington' from Newcastle at 2.10 p.m. yesterday after a smart passage of 5 days 5 hours. The vessel experienced fine weather on the run across, ana brought 3400 tone of coal and IGO tons of i timber for this port. It js expected that tho Kurow will he given dispatch fot N<JWcastlo again- next. Tuesday. Wireless advice received from H.JI.S. Torch last evening istat-ed that she expected to arrive at Auckland between 3 and 4 p.m. to-day. The Union Company's steamer Ka-ramw arrived at Now Plymouth, coal laden, from Newcastle, yesterday. After discharging part of her cargo at the former port; the Karamii completes at Wftnganui. The ferry steamer Cobar, is expected to come off the Wellington Patent Slip this morning..
