'EFFORT TO RENAME-ARAMOHO. ' (By Telegraph-Special Correepond«nt!) . .*. Wanganui, November-> 5. After" a pleasurable three days* stay in Wanganui, during which they tiiade the most of the opportunities provided them 'for sight-seeing, the New Zealand Cadets left this .morning for Wellington, in Continuation of their tour of tho Dominion. ' A strong branch of the Biblc-in-Schoois League was formed 'liei'o last night, with .a committeo of forty, members. Some time agp, with a view to giving prominence to Wangatiui, the local Cham" v ber, of Commerce preferred to the Minister for Railways a; request that .previous Ministers had declined to accedes to, viz.: that the name of Aramoho Railway Station should be changed to Wanganui Junction, and that of Easttown to Wanganui East. The request, however, has met no better fortune than previously, the Minister replying that he cannot grant it on account of the inevitable confusion that would arisen through stations so 'close, together 'being almost •similarly named. To-day-Mr. ICerr, S.M., had a few remarks to make about persons ivho had business,at Court, and who made arrangements with- parties interested to co'mo at other than tlio appointed hour— 10.30 o'clock—to havo their business dealt witli. When a' defendant, through his i solicitor, asked that-a- case should bo heard later in the, day, as it interfered with his business, Mr. Iferr said that he took it as a piece of impertinence for any defendant to say that he Would not'come 'until 11.30 or any other hour, Ete did not think it right, nor would he allow any person to break in on 'other eases. People must understand that they must attend at the Court at' the times mentioned on their summonses.
