(Br Teleeraph.—Press , • Auckland, November 5. ; The weather was fine for training at 'Ellerslie this morning. The bulk,of the horses were restricted to sprinting on the sand. Goldsize did a short mile and a quarter in 2min. 16 l-ssec., .the last • round in 2min. 3 2-ssec. ' Bully went a round in Imin. 59sec. ' Coromandel beat Ngatiruanui over four furlongs in 52sec., the latter taking 53 4-5 see.. Jack Delaval did the same distance in 51 l-ssec. i ,'Jolie ' Fille was too good for Almeida 'over five furlongs'run in Imin. ssec., the latter taking Imin. 6sec. Bluestone beat ElectrakofE over five furlongs, in imin. 7scc. Gloy did seven furlongs in Imin. 37sec., and Master Wairiki four in 52 l-ssec. Wheturangi and Roiigitauo, were together at the end of a round that occu--1 pied- 2min. 8 l-ssec. Apellon ran three, furlongs in 39 2-ssec., and Semolina 6ix (on the inside grass) in Imin. 20 l-ssec. General Drouet occupied Imin. 23 3-ssec. in doing the same dis-. tance. Tekitapu-and Kia ICaha were together at the end of three furlongs on the two-year-olds' track in 3S 4-ssec. A large number of others were also exercised. ... The weather promises to be fine for the opening day of the races.
