i RESULTS OF SATURDAY'S GAMES. Although the weather was by 110 mean-, ideal on Saturday afternoon it was fine enough for bowls, And those who had been debarred by. the Vagaries of tho elements from participating in "ye ancient games of botfls" wore altorded the opportunity of testing themselves. Tho opening month of tho bowling season is illways interesting to those who are keen, as it invariably tolls a player if ho is "on his ganio" for the season, it being weh known that efen the best of players liavo their off seasons. The interest will be warming up in tho gams from this onwards. 011 baturday next wo are to have nino rinks from Christchurch, Timar.u, Dunedin, and Invercargill on the local greens. These rinks are to tour .the North Island, and play again at Wellington on their return. The Pennant Matches are to commence on Saturday week, : and later on thwe is tho Wellington Centre's tournament, the Northern Bowling Association's tournament (at Auckland), and the visit of tho Aorangi bowlers from South Canterbury and North Otago.
