Before breakfast tho bulk of the work was done, on the course, proper outside the hurdles. Kakama did Vround oft the sand in lmin. 57 3-Ssec. | Jack Delaval vras better than Devastation over five furlongs from tho iyw post, in lmin. 5 l-ssec. Waimangu beat Goldsize over; a round in 2min. 5 l-ssec.; Wco Olga did seven furlongs, in lmin., 33 2-ssec., and Antoinette was too good for Prince Soult, going once round in 2mln, 3 2-ssec., the colt taking 2min. 6 2-sseo. Soultikoff beat Rosea over five furlongs from the new post ill lmitu 6sec._ MouoTail, going easier than Sea Pink, did seven furlotigs, in lmin, 33 1-asec. Scorch was better than .Lady Alicia over four furlongs in 54 i-ssec. Jolie Fille beat Master Jack-in a mile spin done in lmin. 48 4-ssec. Our King, with the assistance of Royal Irish over the last five, covered six furlongs in lmiii. 18 2-sseC., the former being in front. Our Queen did five in lmin. 7 3-ssec. The raiiustopped after breakfast. Merry Roe, with assistance of Self over the last four, rail'-five furlongs from, the new post'in lmin, 5 Msec.
Maui Nina did a round in 2min. !i l-ssec, A large number of others wero worked. Darby Paul, .Stroller, Tiri; Surplus. Lloyd' 9, Arawa, and Pyriuont schooled over hiiTdles, all getting round safely. M'ahinga, Eglinton, The Chief, Sky High did a. round of the big country. Sky High fell at. the stone wall, and the- rider; Futcher, was badly bruised. Captain Jack and T'aneatUa did similar work.
