As they reached the course Ban Reve was well clear of Pilgrim's Way, Blue Lake, and] Piriwai, while Stardar.cer, who was in the middle of the fields put ia a fast run. At the distance, Bon Reve was still in front, but SteMancer came with a very defer- j mined ''challenge, and, in a great finish, the pair flashed past the post together, the indge being-unable to separate thein.
