They in turn awarded the championship to Morningtou. Against this latter '-decision the' Kaitangata. Club ap-' pealed to, the New Zealand Council, and corresponilonoe on the' question has b'een much in evidence, of late. At last night's, meeting, fhe New Zealand Executive decided to uphold the' O.F.A.'s decision,; nnd ordered the protest fco to be forfeited. It Vas further decided to recommend the Otago body to review the action of the Kaitangata.Club .in playing the men in question, and report to the council before November 30. ' - The: secretary-reported that tho season would close with a credit balance'of about dE3B/as against JM3 for last year.- This year's balance excluded the sum of £\5 paid for shares in the Association Football Grounds Company, Ltd,, which; wero declared to be. an-asset. . ■'!■•■■'. A letter was received from the'secretnry. of the Commonwealth Football ~Associa-: tion,' which stated thatthere was pvery : prospect of that body sending n, team across to America next year. The secretai7' waa ■ instructed to write asking if it were possible for.tho teani to visit New Zealand to play matches.here en route.; Much correspondence was read regarding certain matters in connection with the Taranaki Association.
