After a protracted 'discussion it was decided to join, issue in .requesting .the Minister for Kaihvays to revert to old conditions, whereby the 7.50 a.m. train carried the milk to town in lieu- of the separate service, Which takes one hour o.lla forty minutes to de. liver the milk over a twenty-mile journey, My, Clifford pointing out that milk was one of the most delicate subjects of human . consumption, and present arrangements meant c,ontaminati»n thereof. If a favourable reply, is. not forthcoming as a result of the recent farmers'- .deputation to the Minister,'a combined deputation will wait upon Jiim urging the -necessity of a more, speedy service, and also pointing out-that a reversion- to former conditions cannot delay the present service, -i'he farmers present joined the league by request, and representative members were added to the executive.
