THE COUNCIL.
A BRIEF SITTING. THE LAND BILL RECEIVED. Tho Council met at-2.30 p.m. Leave of absence was granted to Sir W. Steward for the remainder of the session on account of ill-health.
The Land Laws Amendment Bill was received from tho House, read a second time pro forma, and referred to the Lauds Committee. The Council then adjourned, in order that the Lands Committee might sit to consider' the Land Bill.
