BISHOP FRODSHAM.

HIS RETIREMENT. By Tclegra-ph—Press Aesoosutlon-Copyrient Brisbane,' October 29. The Right Rev. Anglicon Bishop of North Queensland, will retiro on March 31 for health reasons. During his recent visit to England Dr. Frodsham's medical advisers informed him that it was imperative that he should retire from his present position. Owing to tho state of his health, continued residence in the Tropics would have very serious consequences. Dr. Frodsbam was appointed Bishop of North Queensland in 1902. In view of the steps about to Iμ taken to elect and consecrate a successor to Bishop . Frodsham, the Bishop of Carpentaria has forwarded to the Archbishop of Brisbane, as Metropolitan of Queensland, the following protest: "I, the undersigned, Gilbert, Bishop of Carpentaria, do hereby protest against the consecration of any Bishop under the name and title of Bishop of North Queensland, unless it bo on tho -understanding that tho title will be altered as soon as possible' after the 'consecration. I make this protest on the grounds that tho name of North Queensland is no longer applicable to that Diocese, that it claims a jurisdiction which does not correspond to fact, that it is a. cause of confusion and misunderstanding, and that precedent in the case of the Diocese of Australia is in favour of a change of .name. , . ~
