DETAILS OP PAYMENT. Recently a return was presented to the House of Representatives showing that during the twelve months ending Octobop 3 tho amount of totalisator tax paid by racing clubs in the Dominion was .£75,611 15s. 10d. At. the request cf Mr. Atmore (Nelson) a further return has been' prepared showing tho amounts paid by 87. clubs. Tho following aro the larger amounts:—
Auckland Racing Club 9,502 Auckland Trotting Club 1,492 Canterbury Jockey Club 8,040 Canterbury Park Trotting Club 1,281 Duncdin Jockey Club 2,961 Egmont Pacing Club 1,192 Feilding Jockey Club 1,670 Forbury Park Trotting Club 1,994 Hawked Day Jockey Club 2,067 Manawatu Racini! Club 2,128 Napier Park Racing Club 1,475 New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club 5,039 Otnki Maori Racine Club 1,535 Takapuna Jockoy Club 1,756 Taranaki Jockey Club 1,033 Wanganui Jockey Club 3,599 Wellington Racing Club 5,289 YVairarapa Racing Club 1,112 Tho totalisator tax is 2} per cent., and tho investments on the machino in the period covered by the return amounted to .£3,021,480.
