HAPPY ENDING TO A "TIFF" IiETWEEN TWO LOVERS. A Dovonslme man and woman recently "made up" a little tiff which blighted their courtship forty years ago. Next spring they intend to bo married (says the "Daily Mail"). ' The bridegroom-elect, Sir. Charles Eastly, lias already been twice married, while his third bride, Mrs. Cole, is also a widow. The man has a family of four and the woman six. In his youth Mr. Eastly lived at Millcombe, near fa> Salcombo, where Mrs. Colo was then a girl. When the "tilf" occurred Mr. Eastly went to' Amorica. There'ho has since, prospered at farming. After he became a widower for the second time, Mrs. Colo explained recently, Mr. Eastly wrote to her. in licr maiden namo at her old Snlcombe address. The letter was returned to him through this Dead Letter Office. Then ho determined to conduct his search for her personally, and set sail for England. His inquiries •on the scenes of the old courtship days led to tho discovery that bis former sweetheart was living at Paignton. He arrived there on September IG, and tho couple- were soon happily reunited. After their marriage they will go to Mr. Eastly's homo in America. Mr. Easily is sixty-four years of ago and Mrs. Colo sixty-seven. The two Dutch tugs Boodezeo and Swaitzezee, reputed to bo tho two most powerful in the world, took in tow recently at Barrow the huge floating ship dock The Duke of Connaught for the long voyage to Montreal. Tho floating dock is the second largest in the world.
