A fine of 40s. and costs was inflicted at Croydon recently on George Cade, lieemre of tho Globu Public House, Old Town. Croydon, for cruelty to n neighbour's dog. It was alleged that, he fired al the dog, and injured its head. Cade ssid the was always in his place and was a nuisance, because it jumped on the counter, broko glasses and drank bscr, and had snapped at customers. He fired a charge of shot at it from a saloon riflo without any intention of inflicting injury.
