There are a number of sensational reports in circulation as to the manner in which the Tsarevitch received the injuries of which he now lies seriously ill. Tho latest story is that the Royal heir -was injured in'climbing on the spars of the Imperial yacht Standiirt, and that Admiral Chngin, the commander, .whose suicide was reported a few days ago, feeling himself responsible, committed suicide. Another version is that the Tsarevitch was deliberately shot in the groin. The public are clamouring for the true version. Admiral Chagin led the Russian naval force-in the Boxer rebellion in China in 1900. The Tsarevitch had a good night. His temperature stands at 100 deg. -ALLEGED REVOLUTIONARY PLOT. (Rec. October 27, 5.5. p.m.) St. Petersburg, October 26. • The Tsarevitch's condition is hopeful. There are still many conflicting statements as to tho cause of the. injuries. It is' alleged that several revolutionaries, by means of false papers, secured enrolment in the crew of the Standart and that Admiral Chagin committed suicide because he had assured the Tsar that the Standart was absolutely safe.. Other statements are thaj the injury was purely accidental, and that Admiral Chagin's suicide arose from his love affair. He bequeathed .£SOOO to the girl who attempted to commit suicide on hearing of his death. ' HOW THE ADMIRAL DIED. St. Petersburg, October 25. > Admiral Chngin, commander of the Tsar's yacht, poured .water down the barrel of his gun and and his head was blown off. '.He had vainly awaited his lover, who cut her throat with'a razor when she arrived and found Chagin dead. ' Later. The injuries which Admiral Chagin's lover inflicted on Herself are not serious.
