A private cablegram received in Wellington states that Mr. Henry Hoby, of this city, has passed his final examination for, tho M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., of England. Mr. Hoby has been connected with Guy's Hospital, London, for the past fivo years. Ho was formerly a student at the AVellington College.

Mr. John Guy, a resident of Greymouth, has received cabled information that two of his brothers wore killed in the disaster at Mount Lyoll. It is remarkablo to relate that four members of the Guy family have now mot their deaths ill mines. Some time ago a brother of Mr. Guy was killed in Queensland, latoj on another met an untimely end in a Victorian mine, and now''two have met their deaths at Mount Lyell.
