DISTRICT REPORTS. (From Our Special Correspondents.) Feilding, October 27.—Saturday: Boisterous, cold, with heavy rain, sleet, and snowflakos; cold night. Sunday: Fine clear day: cold wind. Shannon, October 26.—Fine morning; heavy fall of snow in afternoon; bitterly cold; countryside white.. It is years since snow fell locally. Featherston, October 26.—C01d rain, light N.W. wind. Greytown, October 26—It is raining, with a very cold southerly wind, and snow is again on tho mountains. Jlasterton, October 27—The weather today was tine, and almost spring-like. Hastings, Octobor 27.—Saturday was stormy and wet, and bitterly cold. Sunday was fine, with a cold wind. Carterton, October 26—Tho weather is very cold, and a heavy gale prevails. Snow fell this afternoon.
