La Trobo) said J that ho regretted to report that he had B been unable to get tho classes started, as I he had found it impossible to obtain the n services of a shearing instructor beforo the I mid of November. He thought, however, [j, that steps should be taken to commence

work as early as possible in tho now school year. It was resolved to thank the union for its generous offer. The Amalgamated Society of Engineers intimated that Mr. Edward Dolby, of Fotono, had been appointed to represent the society on tho Engineering Board of Control. A letter was also received from Mr. J. Marchbanks. engineer- to tho Wellington Harbour board, accepting a seat on tho Engineering Brard of Control as on independent onitinn-in': nnfhoritv, as provided for in iho constitution of the board. Mr. .1. V. L\\k? was npoointod to represent the Technical School'-Board on tho Engineering Board. There remains to bo appointed the representatives of tho Ironmasters' Association and of the Marine lustituto.
