SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications are tor westerly to south-westerly wind 3, strong to gale, with cold and showery weather. Hail squalls probable in the south, and enow on higher levels. The barometer is very unsteady, and a further fall in the south is likely to take place beforo a decided rise is experienced. The cyclone has passed eastward of East Cape, and been neutralised to a certain extent. by the advent of a westerly low pressure, which has enveloped the South Island to-day.
