CHARGE OF ASSAULT. Arthur Henry AViddas was before the Magistrate's Court. yesterday to answer a charge of assaulting John Leahy, causing him actual bodily harm. Accused was remanded until October 30. BANKRUPTCY ACT. Brought up on two alleged broaches of tho Bankruptcy Act, Edward Wilford Jacobs was remanded until October 30. Mr. H. E. Evans appeared for tho accused. INSOBRIETV. The following cases of insobriety wero dealt with:—Annio Maud Sales, fined 205., in default seven days' imprisonment; Elizabeth Eyerett, 205., in default seven days' imprisonment; Andrew Olsen, 405., in "default U days' impriH>mnent; Ada Edwards, 10s., in default U days' imprisonment. For using bad language the lastmentioned was sentenced to two months' imprisonment. . ,
